Saint Joseph School is very proud to have received first
place in the
MIT Enterprise Forum
Web Page Contest on December 1, 1999.
Saint Joseph School was awarded a plaque to honor the
web site as the
"best educational web site in Connecticut".
Mrs.
Christine Lang, Sister Georgeann Vumbaco, and
Mrs. Kathy Spencer were thrilled to accept the award
from
Drew Crandall at Yale University.
This is the third year the Forum has held the web page
contest. Yale University was the 1997 winner in the educational category.
In 1998, UCONN was the winner. The judges felt that St. Joseph School
was a comfortable, friendly site that met the needs of the parents and
students and reflected its community.
The MIT Enterprise Forum of Connecticut serves as a resource
to emerging, technology-based companies. The MIT Enterprise Forum
of Connecticut was founded in 1978 and is one of 19 chapters which operate
around the world. Among others, sponsors of this non profit forum
include PricewaterhouseCoopers, MIT Association of Alumni & Alumnae,
Advent International, Hale & Dorr LLP, Microsoft, Silicon Valley Bank,
and Young Entrepreneurs Organization.
Sincere thanks to the MIT Enterprise Forum of Connecticut
for this recognition and support.
It is very rewarding that our school has received this
honor.
