Center Congregational Church
The Center Congregational Church is located on the corner of Broad Street and East Main Street in Meriden, Connecticut.

It is a special church because it was the first church of Meriden.  The church originally was a meeting house.  When it was first built, there was no religious freedom.  People were required to attend church on Sundays, and so they met for church at the meeting house.  People who did not attend church had to pay a fee to the King of England.
When the church burned down, it was rebuilt.
