The Solomon Goffe House

Solomon Goffe House

The Goffe House was built in 1711.  It is older than the Moses Andrew Homestead.  The Goffe House is located at 667 North Colony Street in Meriden.  The owner was Solomon Goffe.  The Goffe House looks very new on the outside, but on the inside it looks very old.  The doors are very old.  The Goffe House will show you how was in the past.

Herb gardens were common in the 1700's.  The herb garden at the Solomon Goffe is interesting and looks very healthy.
