Saint Joseph School Hot Lunch Program

Hip Hip Hooray and Three Cheers for the volunteers who make it possible for Saint Joseph School to enjoy the hot lunch program! Your work is much appreciated by the families and the faculty of Saint Joseph School!

The hot lunch program is provided by volunteer parents and grandparents of the students in the school, with the payments and ordering now being handled by OrderLunches.com. Pizza, from various vendors throughout the city of Meriden, is typically offered on Thursdays. Charlie's Restaurant will provide lunch the remaining days of the week.

In addition to lunch, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the hot lunch volunteers sell snacks. There is a sample list of snacks below. Each snack costs $0.50. Snacks may be purchased through the OrderLunches.com program or during lunch time when the volunteers visit the classrooms. Students are encouraged to have exact change for snack, if possible. Volunteers reserve the right to limit the number of snacks purchased by any one student.

Did you know that the hot lunch program generates a small profit that is used to fund special presentations at Saint Joseph School, such as plays and puppet shows? Thank you to all those who support these special learning and cultural opportunities through your hot lunch purchase!

Ordering for the month of September will open on August 16, 2010 and will close on Friday, August 27, 2010.
You may purchase lunches for your student(s) for just the month of September or you may wish to make purchases for September, October, and November at the same time.
